Cultivation Begins from Infancy - Ch 1177

Volume 3 - Chapter 378: Severance - Part 3

In a blink, Jin Fengling had been forced by Li Hao's relentless sword strikes to the very edge of the Emperor’s Terrace.

Staring into the youth’s furious, pitch-black eyes, Jin Fengling—for the first time—felt an overwhelming threat of death. Even though his entire clan was present, even though the clan leader himself watched from afar, he felt utterly trapped, as if there was no escape.

“What are you standing around for? Kill him!”

Unable to bear it any longer, Jin Fengling bellowed at the two white-haired young men flanking him.

Their expressions shifted subtly, clearly sensing something was wrong. Jin Fengling’s life or death had little to do with them—in fact, the three of them joining forces would typically invite ridicule—but in this moment, the power Li Hao had revealed left them no choice. If they stood by and watched Jin Fengling fall, leaving only the two of them, neither would be able to take Li Hao down alone.

Whoosh!

Pride was no longer a luxury they could afford. The two moved instantly to attack.

But Li Hao was faster. The moment Jin Fengling roared, Li Hao unleashed three consecutive sword strikes. Each slash carried the full force of the immortal power coursing through his Stellar Meridian.

With such intense and rapid surges of immortal force, strange lights and shadows twisted into being on the Emperor’s Terrace. The air itself shimmered and warped, as if reality were collapsing.

Boom!

Three strikes landed. With the third, a faint flame flickered over Jin Fengling’s phoenix-patterned robe—before it was torn apart, his chest cleaved open along with his nascent spirit.

Jin Fengling’s face was stricken with terror. His top-tier immortal artifact had actually been destroyed by Li Hao! He hadn’t even managed to unleash its full power—and yet, it still shouldn’t have been something a mere True Immortal could destroy!

“You—!”

His shout was cut short as Li Hao’s nascent spirit manifested in full, suddenly darting through the void to appear before Jin Fengling’s own. A golden hand—seemingly stretched across the heavens—pressed down.

In Jin Fengling’s eyes, that molten gold hand ballooned to fill the world. Caught within its grip, he couldn’t even struggle before it crushed him.

A terrifying burst of nascent spirit power erupted.

With a blood-curdling scream, Jin Fengling’s nascent spirit disintegrated, utterly annihilated.

“Fengling!”

The members of the Wind Spirit Clan cried out in panic. Their faces paled as they rushed toward the Emperor’s Terrace—only to be stopped short by the formation barrier.

The members of the Dream Clan quickly stepped in to prevent them from breaking the seal.

While the two sides clashed with their auras, Jin Fengling’s nascent spirit was already nothing more than dust in Li Hao’s palm. He had fallen on the spot.

A True Immortal slaying an Immortal Lord—before the eyes of all.

The entire Southern Region fell into stunned silence. Countless cultivators stared in blank disbelief, too shocked to speak.

Even the two white-haired cultivators who had rushed over turned pale. Their eyes filled with horror.

Jin Fengling was a fourth-rank Immortal Lord, clad in powerful immortal treasures—yet Li Hao had killed him!

Meanwhile, the Demon-Slaying Sword, which had been struggling against the Taowu Immortal Weapon, had been tapping into its ancient demon soul to hold its own. But now, with Jin Fengling’s death, its strength collapsed. The Taowu Immortal Weapon immediately slashed it down, dispersing its demonic energy and heavily damaging the blade.

Seeing that Li Hao remained unharmed, the Taowu Immortal Weapon wasted no time. It swooped down and shredded the Demon-Slaying Sword in a swirl of sword energy, absorbing its essence into its own blade, its aura now tinged with fresh demonic power.

Far away in the capital of the Jin Dynasty, a noblewoman shot to her feet with a gasp. Her face—stunning enough to topple empires even without makeup—was deathly pale.

Li Hao turned his gaze toward the two newcomers. The killing intent in his eyes hadn’t lessened. His will surged toward the Taowu Immortal Weapon.

“Kill.”

The Taowu Immortal Weapon let out a low, bestial roar in response and, with a shriek, lunged toward the white-haired cultivators.

Their expressions changed drastically.

The formation barrier that had once made the Emperor’s Terrace Li Hao’s prison now seemed to have turned into theirs. They were trapped inside with this brutal madman!

“Together—kill him!”

The second youth reacted swiftly, drawing his own immortal weapon. At this point, reputation meant little. Only by joining forces could they hope to take down Li Hao.

The white-haired cultivator followed suit. His weapon, though not quite as formidable as Jin Fengling’s Demon-Slaying Sword, was still top-tier.

But the moment their weapons clashed with the Taowu Immortal Weapon, they were instantly suppressed. Cracks formed almost immediately.

“How is this possible?!”

The white-haired cultivator was dumbfounded. Only now did he truly grasp the terror of this weapon—it was like an ancient beast unleashed from its cage.

Meanwhile, Li Hao raised his hand and seized the Godpiercer Bow that Jin Fengling had used earlier.

Above him, the Taowu Immortal Weapon continued to clash with the two cultivators’ weapons, locked in a violent stalemate.

Bathed in golden light, Li Hao stood holding the Godpiercing Bow, like a god of war descending.

He lifted the bow, nocked an arrow, and drew the string.

As a golden arrow materialized between his fingers, both white-haired cultivators’ faces went ashen.
