Cultivation Begins from Infancy - Ch 1194

Volume 3 - Chapter 384: Annihilation with a Single Palm - Part 2

Very quickly, the primordial spirit stabilized, and the body—reduced to dust—began to regenerate at astonishing speed. In the blink of an eye, it was fully restored.

Rather than calling it “healing,” it would be more accurate to describe it as time rewinding. As if the past flowed backward, everything returned to its original state!

If Ying Xiaoxiao’s strike had suppressed and killed the Ji Ming of a thousand years ago—casting its shadow into this present moment—then the Supreme One had, in turn, reversed a thousand years of time. Even the temporal force that flowed within that span was erased!

Upon seeing this, the elder of the Imperial Clan let out a sigh of relief. As long as the Supreme One intervened, all would be well. In the Supreme One’s presence, no one dared to act recklessly. No blood would be shed.

This dramatic reversal plunged the crowd into silence. One instant, complete annihilation. The next, resurrection. Although Ji Ming lived once more, the power displayed by that young girl left countless onlookers in awe.

They had assumed Ji Ming was peerless among Immortal Lords. Yet he couldn’t withstand a single palm strike from a girl of equal cultivation!

“You…”

Ji Ming now understood what had happened. Though his body had been restored through temporal reversal, his memories remained unchanged. His eyes burned with fury and killing intent.

Apart from facing the Imperial Clan’s own heirs, he had never known such a crushing defeat.

Ying Xiaoxiao’s gaze fell upon him. At his resurrection, there was no rage in her eyes, as though she had expected it. She spoke with calm indifference:

“As a scion of the Imperial Clan, it’s time you honored your word. Let him go.”

Ji Ming felt as if he’d been slapped in the face—burning with shame and pain. He was immensely proud, born to supremacy, and now he had been defeated in such a devastating fashion, unable to even mount a proper resistance.

He hadn’t even activated his collection of Imperial Immortal Treasures. That palm, which traversed millennia, shattered him from within. The temporal reflection embedded in the strike bypassed all his life-saving artifacts!

If not for the Supreme One’s intervention, he would be truly dead by now!

“Who exactly are you?!”

Teeth clenched, Ji Ming stared at Ying Xiaoxiao like a wounded, furious wolf.

She merely returned his gaze, silent.

Just then, a voice echoed within Ji Ming’s mind—it was the elder of the Imperial Clan: “She is Shi Miao, a monstrous genius from a hundred thousand years ago, a personal disciple of the Immortal Emperor. Back then, she stood at the pinnacle of the Immortal King Realm. This is merely her reincarnation. Young Master, your defeat is understandable. Do not challenge her head-on.”

“A personal disciple of the Immortal Emperor from a hundred thousand years ago?”

“A reincarnation?”

Ji Ming froze. Then his fists clenched tightly. Knowing her background offered some comfort, but it was still hard to accept—how could he be so fragile when facing someone of the same realm?

Staring into those cold, detached eyes, he sensed that she didn’t consider him worthy of notice. That feeling—of being utterly dismissed—was something he had only ever made others feel, never experienced himself.

“Shi Miao, is it? I’ll remember you. Since you've returned to life in this era, I will shatter the pride of the so-called favored daughter of heaven!”

Clenching his fists tightly, Ji Ming suppressed the storm of killing intent in his heart and sent a voice transmission in a low growl.

Then, raising his hand abruptly, he declared aloud, “I will keep my word. That boy—the Imperial Clan will ensure his safety!”

At these words, the expressions of the Hidden Sea Clan and Wind Spirit Clan turned livid, as if they'd swallowed pig’s liver. Who would’ve thought that this soon-to-be Imperial heir could lose—lose so terribly!

Now, if Li Hao were allowed to leave, it would spell long-term disaster for both their clans.

With the talent Li Hao had shown, even if he never entered the Primordial True Realm, reaching the pinnacle of the Immortal King Realm seemed only a matter of time. He might not threaten the top twenty clans, but to these two—he could become a nightmare!

What’s worse, with the Imperial Clan shielding him, they could no longer make a move against Li Hao. Offending the pride of an Imperial heir was not a burden they could bear. Retribution might arrive faster than they could prepare for!

“Damn it, damn it!”

“How is this brat so lucky?!”

“The reincarnation of Shi Miao appears—and she's protecting the remnant of that traitor Immortal. Could it be that many more survivors remain in this world?”

The Hidden Sea and Wind Spirit Clans looked utterly grim. At this point, they could only seek the protection of the Celestial Palace. After all, their actions had been meant to curry favor with the Imperial will.

Meanwhile, members of the Dream Clan, including Meng Wanning, were elated. Their anger toward Ji Ming lessened slightly—at least he had the courage to keep his word.

On a lonely peak, an old man fishing with rod in hand silently watched the sky.

The outcome hadn’t surprised him. From the moment that girl appeared, he knew the young Imperial heir was no match for her.

He had witnessed her terrifying power with his own eyes a hundred thousand years ago. Back then, he had just become a disciple under the Supreme One—already a top-tier prodigy—but still no more than a defeated underling of a defeated underling. He didn’t even qualify to stand against her.

He could never forget the sight of her dominating the True Realm, contending alongside other super monsters of that age.

“Mmm… after all this stalling, you’ve finally reeled in a big fish. I wonder… what else this catch might lure out? Master, oh Master… your fishing skills remain unmatched…”

The old man whispered bitterly to himself. In his eyes, as he looked upon the boy and girl below, there was only sympathy.

The era had changed. That once-blazing favored daughter of heaven, a spirit who once controlled the essence of time—now seemed fated to fade in silence, to bring an end to the saga of a hundred thousand years ago.

High above, Li Hao heard Ji Ming’s declaration, but his face showed no relief. Instead, he frowned, and the first thing he did was look up toward the towering figure enshrouded in clouds.

“You need to leave. Now.”

Li Hao transmitted softly to Ying Xiaoxiao, “That Supreme One… he won’t let you go.”

“I know.”
