Volume 3 - Chapter 385: Defying the Dao-Infant to Shatter the Imperial Scheme, Destroying the Nine Seals to Forge the Dao-Origin - Part 2
The Celestial Guard Commander understood and no longer restrained his power. In an instant, it spread out like a heavenly net, completely sealing the spacetime around Ying Xiaoxiao, pulling it into his own domain.
Ying Xiaoxiao’s figure flickered endlessly. In the blink of an eye, hundreds of phantom forms danced through different timelines. But the Celestial Guard Commander severed a thousand years of time in this realm, rendering them all futile.
As a ninth-level Immortal King, he stood beyond even most elders of the Imperial Clan. With one foot already in the realm of Immortal King Perfection, second only to Immortal Emperor, he was a peak existence. Though time wasn’t his strongest attribute, his mastery still far surpassed that of Ying Xiaoxiao’s reincarnated self.
Boom!
Thunderous light erupted within the sealed domain, piercing through every one of the hundreds of phantoms in an instant, until only one remained.
Ying Xiaoxiao, covered in blood, seemed to understand there was no longer any hope of escape. She stopped struggling and turned her head to look at Li Hao. Beneath fluttering strands of hair, her gaze brimmed with tenderness, as if cherishing this final moment.
“If you want me to become your disciple, I will. If you want anything—anything at all—I’ll agree. Just let them go!”
Li Hao’s heart wrenched as he clenched his teeth and looked up at the Supreme of the Celestial Palace.
The Supreme’s eyes were cold and distant. After a long silence, he finally said, “Kneel.”
“Don’t kneel!”
Before Li Hao could move, Ying Xiaoxiao screamed. Her voice rang out, shrill and defiant. “As a disciple of the Supreme, you must never kneel to another! Even if you beg him, he won’t spare us. He wants information about Master—he wants to erase all hidden threats. He’s afraid!”
How could Li Hao not know? He had already seen through the trap. But he lacked the strength to break it. At this moment, he was nothing more than a pawn on the board, not the one who moved the pieces.
“You have to promise me…”
Li Hao looked at the Supreme and slowly knelt down.
As his knees hit the void, the girl's voice abruptly cut off. She stood there, stunned, staring at him.
The Supreme's indifferent gaze swept across the heavens, as if staring through endless space to observe figures far, far away.
Such humiliation—he believed—would sting certain existences… if they still possessed any shred of blood or pride.
“Let them go…”
Li Hao gritted his teeth. His spine felt as if it had snapped, and he lowered his head.
“Kneeling only gives you the right to plead with me,” the Supreme said coldly. “This remnant of a Sin Immortal dares harm my disciple. For the sake of her cultivation, and because she may one day serve the Southern Domain in the war against demons, I will spare her life. But death is avoided—not punishment.”
He raised his hand. A streak of Dao light shot into the Celestial Guard Commander’s domain and pierced Ying Xiaoxiao’s forehead.
That light wrapped around the Dao-Origin Immortal Seal on her forehead, beginning to envelop it.
“I will correct her. She will become the first Demon-Slaying General of the future.”
The Supreme spoke with icy finality.
The light in Ying Xiaoxiao’s eyes dimmed, and her expression grew vacant.
Li Hao watched, and every inch of his flesh and blood trembled uncontrollably. A rage unlike any he had ever known boiled within him. That lofty figure—once revered—was now utterly vile. Disgusting. Detestable. Hateful.
“You… You’re not worthy of being called Emperor!!”
Li Hao clenched his fists and slowly rose from the void. His spine straightened. The cracks in his bones resounded with harsh pops as if reassembling themselves.
His eyes turned blood-red. Like a mad beast weeping blood, he glared at that towering figure worshipped by countless others.
“She was right. You’re afraid. You’re not as great as my Master. You’re not even a shadow of the Heaven-Calamity Immortal Emperor. And your disciples… are nothing compared to me!!”
His Immortal Body cracked open, unleashing a terrifying surge of Dao force. From within, his Dao-Infant of Chaos revealed its true essence—for the last time.
Like fragile glass, the Dao-Infant shattered inch by inch. That peak Saintly power now burst apart, breaking the shackles of its limit and transforming into a tide of Dao energy that surged into Li Hao.
In that moment, he became the Dao-Infant. No longer an infant—but a youth stepping into maturity!
That torrent of Dao force erupted outward, freezing countless spectators. Not far off, Jianxin and Mingyue's pupils shrank in horror.
Li Hao’s body underwent a drastic metamorphosis. The Nine Sequences Immortal Seal on his forehead spun rapidly—then shattered!
Every pattern on the seal broke apart. Fragmented.
Even the Dao-Infant could be destroyed.
Even the Nine Sequences could be broken!!
If the world was chaos—why cling to the order of nine?
Let the Dao return to One!
As this echoed from the depths of his soul—a sorrowful song of the Primordial Spirit—countless booms exploded from within the youth’s body. The Ninefold Great Dao, including the Sword Dao, all shattered and fused into one. All paths became One!
